| BeetleBits Favorite Beatle: "They Tie" Counterpart Beatle: George Favorite Songs: I Want to Hold Your Hand; Thank You Girl; I'll Get You; It Won't Be Long Favorite Album: With The Beatles What got me into the Beatles: When I was in the fourth grade I'd heard of the Beatles, but I didn't really know what or who they were; there was just a buzz about them in the elementary school. We had an assembly in the auditorium, and at the end of it four kids got on stage with Beatle wigs, and they were "playing" cigar box guitars and trash can drums, and I Want to Hold Your Hand was playing; I was completely blown away. |

| Jim Henkel plays in Beetle, The El Orbits, The Flying Fish Sailors, The Allen Oldies Band, The Light Rock
Express, and Disco
Expressions. During the day he can often be found at
Diedrich's
Coffee House. Jim Henkel has played guitar since he was a teenager. He's played in just about every type of band imaginable and has an extremely broad knowledge of popular music from the sixties, seventies, and eighties. and some much older. He and Paul were playing in an original band of his, the legendary Pop Kings, when one day Mr. Adams subbed on the drums. The playing of several Beatles songs that afternoon to a roaring crowd of three or four sparked the creation of Beetle, but without Jim's prior knowledge of so many Beatles songs, Beetle may never have gotten off the ground.
